September 28 - October 5 What is a School Pushout? A School Pushout is when schools implement policies that hinder student progress and discourage them from continuing their education. These policies include “zero tolerance”, suspensions, harsh discipline, and punishing youth defending themselves against bullying. Introducing New Queer Youth Updates Editor — Sarananda Osheim
Sarananda is entering her senior year at the University of California, Santa Cruz and plans to graduate with her B.A. in Psychology Spring 2013. During her senior year at Harbor High School she was an intern for the Queer Youth Task Force (QYTF). In Spring 2008 she received a Queer Youth Leadership Award and was the recipient of an E-quality Scholarship.
