LGBT History Month October 2015!

LGBT history month celebrates the achievements of lesbian, gay, and transgender icons! This month not only celebrates LGBT history, but serves as a great opportunity to educate our communities!

Need ideas on celebrating LGBT history this year?

lgbthistorymonth.com – Highlights 31 LGBT icons, one for each day of the month. Each icon is accompanied by a bio, photographs, videos, and other resources.

gsanetwork.org/lgbthistorymonth – The GSA Network has developed some great ideas for sharing LGBT history with your school.  Ideas include: Holding events, creating an exhibit, or profiling LGBT heroes on the PA system.  

glsen.org/lgbt-history-month – GLSEN has put together lesson plans for teachers who want to share LGBT history with their students.
