Watsonville Drag Story Time Documentary @ The 12th Annual Watsonville Film Festival, March 9 + Other Youth-Friendly Films of Interest

Watsonville Drag Story Time is a 10 minute documentary which will be screened as part of the 2024 Watsonville Film Festival (WFF) Nuestra Historias short film program. The film was made by students from the UCSC Social Documentation MFA program, about the first ever Drag Story Time event in Watsonville in May 2023, and features drag artists Xinistra and Rogue Roulette (aka Zak from the Diversity Center!). We invite everyone to join us for the film screening, to show support for LGBTQ+ youth and to help us make this film premiere as joyful and fabulous as the drag artists in the film!
Our Rainbow Defense Coalition of Santa Cruz and the Pajaro Valley, which started as a result of this Drag Story Time event, will be there to help ensure that the screening is protected from any potential negativity, so we are very excited to welcome all LGBTQ+ and ally community members to see this film. We also recommend purchasing your tickets ahead of time because the event may sell out.
