Join us for a special program where LGBTQ+ youth come together to watch a powerful documentary that delves into the heart-wrenching reality of the AIDS epidemic. As we gather to commemorate the lives lost and the resilience of our community, we offer a trauma-informed content warning for sensitive themes. Through director Robert Epstein’s poignant lens, we explore the stories of six individuals amidst the backdrop of the Second National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1987. Witnessing the creation of the memorial quilt project, we confront the profound impact of AIDS on our community while examining the social and governmental responses to this crisis. Through intimate profiles and archival footage, we honor the lives of those we’ve lost and reflect on the journey towards healing and advocacy. Join us for a transformative experience of remembrance, solidarity, and resilience.
