Crafternoon for LGBTQ+ Teens, Dec 7
Get ready to express yourself and make your mark on a powerful community project! We’re creating a modern “affirmation quilt” that celebrates where we’ve come from, who we are today, and our dreams for the future. We’ll start by exploring the history of the AIDS crisis and the AIDS Memorial Quilt. We’ll learn about the impact and how it honors those we lost. Together, we’ll reflect on messages of gratitude to LGBTQ+ trailblazers, affirmations for ourselves, and hopes for the future. GenderVentures: Growing Gender Affirming Skills, Dec 7
Join us for a special movie night featuring “Merry and Gay,” a heartwarming film that explores the unique experiences of Queer individuals during the holiday season. This event is open to trans and non-binary youth aged 11-18 and includes a facilitated discussion to delve into the complexities of family dynamics and togetherness at Christmas. Come connect with peers, share your thoughts, and reflect on the ways Queer people navigate and create their own traditions and support systems during this festive time. HIV HISTORY OUTLOUD: A Triangle Speakers Panel, Dec 19
In honor of World AIDS Day and The Diversity Center’s documentary Never the Last Love Letter, The Diversity Center is hosting an evening of reflection about the AIDS crisis, HIV, and how our community mobilized to respond to a crisis. We will explore contemporary struggles with HIV and learn more about how community care shaped our current LGBTQ+ community. This event will feature a Triangle Speakers Panel, A Q & A, and information about contemporary HIV risk and prevention. RSVP here!

Winter Solstice Labyrinth of Renewal @ Seabright Beach, Dec 21
Join us for a special Winter Solstice celebration under the setting sun at Seabright Beach. You are invited to walk the labyrinth of renewal to honor the season of reflection and the returning of the light. The Labyrinth of Renewal invites you to release what no longer serves you, set intentions for the coming year, and connect deeply with yourself and the community.
Important Information:
- This special evening will feature a labyrinth open to the public, offering participants an opportunity to walk through, reflect, and tap into healing.
- Community members will be invited to reflect on what they wish to release, write it down, and offer it to the fire as a symbolic act of letting go.
- Dress warm, bring layers, if it is raining the event will be rescheduled.
