The Queer Student Union (QSU) is one of eight leadership groups within YLLA, a Santa Cruz County Office of Education initiative that supports young people in building leadership skills, collaborating across communities, and creating meaningful change through youth-led action. Q-MIT Launch Party & First Meeting!, October 7
The 26-27’ Q-MIT Chapter is launching! Join the Queer Middle School Improvement Team’s Launch Party and First Chapter meeting where we will enjoy food, connect with other LGBTQ+ & allied youth, and talk about the positive impacts we would like to make on our community through games, movement and fun activities! Please RSVP so we can prepare food and supplies for everyone.

OUT and About at Pinto Lake, October 17
Enjoy lunch, recharge, make your own nature sketches, spot local wildlife and explore the lake on a guided walk with City of Watsonville environmental educator, Gina Carrillo. We’ll get to know the plants and animals that call Pinto Lake home and learn how we can help care for and protect this special place. Lunch and nature sketching supplies will be provided. Please RSVP so we can have supplies for everyone.
