Alicia Garza prompted activism nationwide when she and two colleagues introduced the Twitter hashtag #BlackLivesMatter. The hashtag evolved into a civil rights movement banner. Garza, as a special projects director for the National Domestic Workers Alliance, delivers powerful perspective on the adversities inflicted by social injustice and discrimination, education and inspiring audiences to organize and stand together to transform society into a world where lives and contributions of all individuals are recognized equally.
