Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Faris Sabbah recently wrote about the importance of young people getting involved with the democratic process: “You don’t need to be 18 to get started and make an impact. Youth in California can pre-register to vote starting at age 16, volunteer as student poll workers, and help others get registered to vote. And, as always, they can use their most powerful tool to make an impact on any issue on the ballot — their voice.”
