Come join Subjects to Change to smash stigmas surrounding sex, drugs, (rock and roll) and mental health and take part in an open mic! This is a free event open to all teens and featuring three teen run “lightning” workshops on the topics above with a focus on the stigma surrounding them and harm reduction, looking to spread information and educate in an entertaining and down to earth, safe setting. Explore the larger museum with your friends and take a break from the event in our cozy space to drink tea, eat snacks, and chill out.
- 4:00-4:30 Explore the museum for free! Meet and mingle with other teens.
- 4:30-4:45 Sex
- 4:45-5:00 Drugs
- 5:00-5:15 Mental Health
- 5:15-5:30 Intermission: time to sign up for open mic & check out/chill out in SafeTea space.
- 5:30-6:30 Open Mic! encouraged focus on sex, drugs & mental health.
*Note* As stated above we will be discussing several sensitive topics at this event that may not be comfortable for all attendees. We will have a safe space to take a break from the event if you wish to avoid coverage of certain topics. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the content covered.
