This scholarship is designed for high school seniors who plan to attend a Junior College or University after graduating. The scholarship is awarded based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership, hardship or special circumstance, and academic achievement. In previous years there have been several Santa Cruz County Youth who have applied and won for this scholarship!

Applicants will be asked to submit their GPA, Must be accepted to an educational institution, have participated in community service and public involvement, have letter of recommendation from two sponsors, and write two short essays. See the website to download the application and get started.

Gamma Mu Foundation Scholarship Program
Must be a gay man under 35 years of age who have completed their GED or received a High School diploma, Desire to pursue a higher education, Who are from or plan to attend school in a rural area, One who has overcome discrimination, Demonstrate leadership qualities and future goal to benefit the LGBTIQ community, and strong academic performance.
Scholarship: $1,000 to $2500

You are eligible to apply if you are a senior high school student planning on attending an institution of higher education in 2014, and self-identify as a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) or an ally who has demonstrated interest in serving the LGBT Community.
