In honor of Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV), celebrated March 31, the GSA Network shared the following powerful message on Facebook:
“Happy Trans Day of Visibility from all of us at GSA Network! Today, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and beauty of our transgender, gender non-conforming (TGNC), and Two-Spirit siblings. Visibility is power, and your existence is revolutionary. As we honor this day, it’s crucial to recognize the intersectionality within our community. We work in solidarity with our BIPOC and Indigenous TGNC and Two-Spirit siblings, acknowledging the unique challenges they face and the resilience they embody. True liberation can only be achieved when we uplift and amplify the voices of those at the intersections of multiple marginalized identities. At GSA Network, we’re committed to fostering a space of inclusivity and support for all members of our community. We recognize that our differences are our strength and that by centering the voices and experiences of BIPOC and Indigenous TGNC and Two-Spirit folks, we can create a more just and equitable world for everyone. Today and every day, let’s continue to celebrate, advocate, and uplift one another. Together, we can create a future where all members of our community are not just seen, but truly valued and celebrated. Happy Trans Day of Visibility! #TDOV #TransVisibility #IntersectionalityMatters”
