SUBMIT YOUR PUBLIC COMMENTS ASAP to the Equity California Portal! If they close before the final submission date of February 17, you can submit DIRECTLY to the Federal Register. Information below. The federal government has proposed two new regulations that could make it virtually impossible for transgender youth to access the gender affirming health care they need. These proposed rules would:- Block Medicaid and CHIP funding for gender-affirming care for transgender youth; and
- Punish hospitals and providers that offer this care by revoking their ability to access Medicare and Medicaid altogether.
