Speakers & Support Needed for SB179 / Non-binary Gender Recognition Bill, July 10, Sacramento

Join us on Monday July 10 in Sacramento to show your support for #SB179, the Gender Recognition Bill which would allow #nonbinary as an option for state IDs and other legal documentation!

Your voice is important, so come to the State Capitol Building to show your support and share your story! The Assembly Hearing will be at 1:30pm, but we encourage folks to show up early to meet the #IGRP team :)  All are welcome, so bring friends, family, and fellow activists passionate about non-binary recognition and rights!

Plan as of now: we will split into small groups to meet with Assemblymembers before the hearing, then all stand up and voice our support during the hearing.

***If you are interested in speaking with legislators/assemblymembers before the hearing with the IGRP team, you MUST email info@intersexrecognition.org by July 9 and arrive by 8am on July 10 for the team strategy meeting!***

This will be a long day, so pack a lunch or bring money to purchase a meal at the upstairs restaurant or a local restaurant. For those who are interested in talking with Assemblymembers, please bring a water bottle and comfy shoes since we’ll be doing a bit of walking.

When:  Monday, July 10th, 2017 @ 1:30pm

Where:  State Capitol Building, Sacramento, CA

Please email info@intersexrecognition.org if you have any questions or concerns about Lobby Day!
