Queer, Trans & Ally Youth Council 2019-2020

Dear Queer, Trans & Ally Students of Santa Cruz County,

We are very excited to announce the accepting of applications for the 2019-2020 Queer, Trans, and Ally Youth Council of Santa Cruz County (QTAYC)! We are looking for high school youth from the Santa Cruz County to be a part of an close-knit, hardworking team to be the catalyst for change within the county.

Our mission is to heighten a sense of community and solidarity among the queer, trans, and ally youth of Santa Cruz County. The council also strives to bridge the larger community as a whole with the youth by being an advisory chamber to the Queer Youth Task Force of Santa Cruz County, tackling hardships that LGBTIQA+ youth face. The council will highlight voices by assessing the needs of the community and finding ways to solve them, including organizing themed events, addressing LGBT inclusive education concerns, and more!

We hope you can help us in achieving our vision: For queer, trans, and ally youth to be able to live a life of prosperity; to be accepted and supported in expressing their identity in their communities.

We ask that you submit the application by Wednesday, September 25 at 11:59 pm.

A first meeting is planned for Monday, October 7.

If you have any questions please review our FAQ. We look forward to receiving your applications!
